Texas Stampede Results/Photos Kahagas vs Kevin Douglas

New postby jd on April 14th, 2012, 10:19 pm

Get this. I just came back from a Texas Stampede Wrestling show down here in the Texas which featured a titled match between NWA Jr. World Champion Kevin Douglas and NWA National Champion Kahagas. Both titles are on the line.

Great match between these two, culminating in a ref bump, which brought out Sr. World Class Ref James Beard to finish the match.

Okay. Now an instant comes where both wrestlers have their shoulders on the mat. Bumped ref recovers just in time to count three on one guy, while WCCW Ref James Beard counts three on the other guy.

The results? Kevin Douglas loses the NWA Jr. World title and wins the NWA National title, while Kahagas loses the National title and wins the Jr. Heavyweight title. It was brilliant.

Pictures and other results will be posted in a day or two.

Maybe ya had to be there.

Seeing both titles were on the line I knew there had to be a screwy finish. When the ref bump came I'm thinking, "Here it comes." But then they do the totally unexpected. It was great.

So it turns out they traded back their respective belts at the end of the match so no title change. My bad. Still a great match though.

Results:

Barrett Brown defeated Bolt Brady with a top rope Swanton.

Byron Wilcott (w/Jamison Holley) defeated Bubba Dumplins with an Austin crab.

Danny Matthews defeated Brandon Collins by hooking the leg.

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion the Modern Day Hero, Kevin Douglas vs. NWA National Heavyweight Champion the Tokyo Monster, Kahagas ended in a double pin.

GWT Indy World Champion Tim Storm defeated Mike Foxx (w/ Lance Romance) by disqualification. Special guest referee for the match was Texas Legend Action Jackson.

Real good show. Douglas and Kahagas were great as were the referees involved during and after the match. Would like to see more shows around the area.
