Steen explained that on June 24th at ''Best in the World 2012'' he will make sure the landscape of the company is changed forever. Steen also proclaimed that it is no longer “Best in the World” and it is now a “HOSTAGE CRISIS”! This blog has definitely put ROH officials on alert and it is expected that everything will be put into place to make sure that the event goes off without any problems.

- Speaking of ''Best in the World 2012'', three big matches were announced yesterday including a First Time Ever bout between “The Notorious 187” Homicide and “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards, a Hybrid Fighting Rules match pitting former partners Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly against each other, and a huge 3-Way Elimination Match for the ROH TV Title with champion Roderick Strong facing former TV Champion Jay Lethal and The Embassy LTD’s Tommaso Ciampa. - Over the weekend on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV it became official that at “Best in the World: HOSTAGE CRISIS” on Sunday June 24th it will be ROH World Champion Kevin Steen defending against former champion, the man he beat for the title at “Border Wars”, “The American Wolf” Davey Richards! This match will be “Anything Goes” which means there is No DQ, No Countout and No Time Limit! The major question mark in the whole scenario we witnessed on TV though is “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards. The former World Champion will receive his chance to dethrone Steen on June 15th when ROH debuts in Charleston so we could very well be looking at a rematch of our “Best in the World 2011” championship bout should Eddie be successful. Either way, Davey will get his shot and the ROH World Championship will be defended live on iPPV on June 24th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City! - Don’t forget that if Charlie Haas or Shelton Benjamin get disqualified this Sunday in their World Tag Title match with ANX they will LOSE the ROH World Tag Team Titles. This stipulation is the result of Haas pushing referee Paul Turner in an impromptu match with the Bravado Brothers in Richmond last month. Immediately following that bout, The All Night Express received their long awaited Tag Title shot but their dreams were shattered when Haas blasted Rhett Titus in the head with the Tag Team Championship belt intentionally getting disqualified. - We want to thank all of the great fans who joined us last Sunday in New York City and on iPPV! It was a history making evening with matches and events that will be remembered for a very long time. We are happy to report that all of the past issues that we have had with iPPV didn’t resurface and we hope that those days are behind us. - ROH officials are absolutely disgusted and appalled at the events that took place in the main event last Sunday at “Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis”. Between all of the injuries to staff and officials along with the destruction caused… this will go down as the most chaotic scene in all of pro wrestling in a very long time. ROH officials have been spending every hour since Sunday dealing with all of the fallout and damage. We will have more information and updates regarding the whole situation very soon.

- The match that stole the show at “Best in the World 2012” was the Hybrid Fighting Rules contest between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. Everyone is talking about the passion that both men displayed and this will go down as one of the most memorable bouts in ROH history. It was a gruesome scene as Adam Cole’s face was left mangled following O’Reilly’s vicious strikes but, with blood pouring out of his mouth, Adam fought through the pain and was victorious with a Figure 4 Leglock! To capitalize on this momentum THIS Friday night when ROH returns to Baltimore, MD for another set of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV tapings, Adam Cole will get the TV Title match he earned after pinning Roderick Strong in the Proving Ground Four Corner Survival at “The Nightmare Begins…” in Charleston, WV. Cole let it all out in NYC and he will certainly have to do the same at The Du Burns Arena to take the title from Roderick Strong! Tickets for our Baltimore return are available here!

- The other man benefiting hugely from his NYC victory is New York’s own “The Notorious 187” Homicide who, in his first ROH match since March, defeated Eddie Edwards via Cop Killa in the center of the ring! Beating the former World Champion was a huge moment for Homicide, a former ROH World Champion himself, who hasn’t had the greatest success over the last year. Still, as a former champion, and a man who has been victorious every time he has been inside an ROH ring with Kevin Steen, “The Notorious 187” has been awarded by Jim Cornette, or burdened depending on how you look at it, with the opportunity to win the ROH World Title on July 28th when Ring of Honor returns to Spartanburg, SC! - Ring of Honor recently announced the cancellation of live events in the Carolina’s on July 27th and 28th due to circumstances beyond our control. To curb assumption and to elaborate for our loyal fans in the area, we wish to explain further. ROH was originally scheduled in the Carolina’s on July 20th and 21st but it was switched to the following weekend before it was publically announced in order to accommodate the arenas in Winston-Salem and Spartanburg. The switch led to a few of the top ROH wrestlers unavailable due to schedule conflicts. After announcing main events of these cards, a certain top wrestler became unavailable due to personal issues. Rather than presenting these events without certain top ROH wrestlers, or present a card different from what was originally announced on the internet and in local advertising, we have opted to cancel these events and reschedule when we can present the ROH faithful with the quality of events that they deserve!

- Ring of Honor would like to thank everyone who came out to the matches in both Baltimore and Pittsburgh over the weekend! We had two excellent events that everyone enjoyed and we look forward to our return to both cities! - Announced yesterday, Homicide will challenge for the ROH World Championship against Kevin Steen on August 3rd in Baltimore at the Du Burns Arena and it will be filmed for broadcast television! Since capturing the title at “Border Wars” Kevin Steen has turned back the challenges of three former World Champions; Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong have all fallen before him but one thing none of those men had was the win-loss record Homicide holds over Steen. - In a great match last Saturday in Milwaukee, Kyle O'Reilly submitted newcomer Tadarius Thomas but in a dishonorable act O'Reilly kept the submission on after the bell refusing to let go. - Rhett Titus has said that he is going to create his own opportunities from now on and that was proven at “Brew City Beatdown” in Milwaukee when Titus stepped up to defend honor against Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs during a post match beatdown on Mark & Jay Briscoe. Even though it looks like Titus’ attention is focused on S.C.U.M, he is also extremely interested on regaining the tag titles that he never lost. ROH officials recognize the situation and rumor has it that they have left a spot open for him in the upcoming tag tournament.

- The Ring of Honor World Tag Team Title Tournament begins THIS Friday night when we return to Baltimore for another set of TV Tapings. Team #7 was announced yesterday and the man who was stripped of the title, Rhett Titus, will team with a partner yet to be named! It is unknown whether Rhett will be able to pick his own partner or if ROH officials assign him one. All we can tell you at this point is that the ROH faithful will find out on Friday night at The Du Burns Arena! Tickets for that event are available here and a special autograph signing will take place prior to the event.

- Speaking of Baltimore this Friday, 2 Names have been released as participating in 6 Man Mayhem. “Technical Lightning” TJ Perkins and “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett are both confirmed for the match and possible TV Title opportunity at “Death Before Dishonor X”.

- In addition, Jay Lethal will face Matt Taven one-on-one this Friday at the Du Burns Arena! Taven has impressed ROH officials every time he has competed in an ROH ring but has yet to get that much needed victory. Lethal has a fantastic win record in ROH and Taven would do wonders to his career if he is able to defeat Lethal.

- Brutal Bob has seen action on ROH TV recently and although unsuccessful, he has shown toughness and an extreme bitterness not seen in any other ROH wrestler on the roster. The Brutal One has been contacting ROH officials over the last week requesting a Proving Ground match against Adam Cole in Brutal’s home territory of Providence, RI on August 11th. Brutal B is sour that young Adam Cole pinned him on ROH TV a couple of weeks ago and apparently wants to show off to his hometown crowd by embarrassing Cole. ROH officials have yet to answer B.B. so he sent a blog to ROHwrestling.com that you can read right here.

- Jim Cornette apparently has a back up list of potential challengers for ROH World Champion Kevin Steen and he has promised that he will keep coming up with challengers until the title is off of Steen. Homicide has his big chance this Friday in Baltimore and if history is any indication… Homicide is the favorite to win.

- Kyle O’Reilly is desperate for a rematch with the new ROH World Television Champion Adam Cole. O’Reilly has stated that he never tapped out to Cole at “Best in the World 2012” and he deserves a chance to redeem himself.

- This weekend’s edition of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” features the rubber match between “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett and Lance Storm! - It is official that Adam Cole will face Brutal Bob at “Boiling Point 2012” in a Proving Ground match which is sure to be intriguing. Also signed is a special 4 Corner Survival pitting 4 young Northeast wrestlers who have impressed ROH officials recently. It will be Matt Taven vs. QT Marshall vs. Antonio Thomas vs. Vinny Marseglia. A win for one of these men will definitely earn them future ROH opportunities.

- Recently on ROH TV and in Pittsburgh at “Live Strong”, we saw Tommaso Ciampa attack his former manager Prince Nana. Ciampa is under the impression that Nana is responsible for keeping him away from the TV Title through a deal made with the House of Truth. Barrister R.D. Evans is rumored to be the one who originally brokered the deal with Truth Martini but Evans has remained on good terms with Ciampa and has procured Ciampa’s contract. The Barrister plans to represent Tommaso going forward but details are sketchy as to what the future of The Embassy Limited holds. Prince Nana is furious and has said that he will be in Providence THIS Saturday! It is completely unknown what role Prince Nana will play at “Boiling Point 2012”!

- Shelton Benjamin was recently suspended after attacking various ROH officials and staff including Senior Official Todd Sinclair, as well as an assault on Rhett Titus with a chair. This unacceptable behavior continued in the locker room area when Shelton put his hands on a member of the production team. As a result of all of this, ROH officials quietly suspended Benjamin without pay but the news was just made public last week. Benjamin is expected to return to ROH action in Charlotte, NC on September 8th.

- JUST ADDED to the special Autograph Signing prior to the start of “Boiling Point 2012” this Saturday is Prince Nana! In an uncharacteristic move, Nana approached ROH officials in a desperate attempt to sell photos and attain funds. This request adds more evidence to the rumor that Nana no longer receives income from the Embassy LTD.

- There will be a special match for the live audience only this Saturday in Providence. The Bravado Bandwagon will roll into Rhode Island and the only way to see these brothers is live and in person at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

- “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin recently tweeted “Don't miss Boiling Point this Saturday, have an important issue to address!” … It is no secret that Elgin and Roderick Strong have not seen eye to eye in a very long time. It is highly possible that this is the issue that Elgin wants to address. Regardless, we will have to find out this Saturday.

- Eddie Kingston put up one hell of a fight last Saturday in his ROH World Title match but the odds were not in his favor. Kingston not only battled Kevin Steen but had to deal with Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino as well. Fortunately, Rhett Titus ran out to get rid of Corino but it was not enough. We want to thank the CHIKARA Grand Champion for his unbelievable effort and ROH officials have invited him back for future events. Kingston is currently full time with CHIKARA and ROH officials are currently lining up dates in late 2012 for Kingston.



- Speaking of CHIKARA, the annual King of Trios Tournament is right around the corner on September 14th – 16th in Easton, PA. Team ROH will participate in this big event consisting of “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett and The Young Bucks!



- As many of you are aware, there was an incident that happened before we went off the air last Saturday involving Kevin Steen and a member of our audience. Kevin Steen has stated his innocence in the situation and that the individual in the audience harmed him first. The situation is being closely examined but it is clear that Steen was given an inch and took a mile. It is no secret that Steen is a loose cannon on a mission to create chaos and harm the image of Ring of Honor. Ring of Honor does not endorse or condone the actions of the ROH World Champion and we always do our best to ensure the safety of our fantastic fans. Regardless of who is at fault, we do not plan to call attention to the situation and Kevin Steen will be punished to the best of our ability given the circumstances.



- Since we are talking about the ROH World Champion, this week's "Tuesday Rollout" brings you not one but two different DVD releases featuring Kevin Steen. - “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa proved last Saturday that he is a true warrior in every sense of the word. Ciampa severely hurt his knee in the opening minutes of his 2 Out of 3 Falls bout with Jay Lethal but he fought through the pain and wrestled for almost 20 minutes. Ciampa was defeated 2 falls to 1 but there is a question whether Ciampa would have even lost if Prince Nana didn’t attack Barrister R.D. Evans at ringside causing Tommaso’s attention to be completely diverted.



- Truth Martini announced to the world last Saturday that Rhino would challenge for the ROH World Title against Kevin Steen at “Death Before Dishonor X” in Chicago Ridge on September 15th live on iPPV! Everyone will want to tune in to ROH TV this weekend to see exactly how that intriguing contest was officially signed. Tickets for "Death Before Dishonor X" can be purchased right here.



- Truth also tried to announce negotiations for Roderick Strong and Michael Elgin challenging the new ROH Tag Champions on October 13th at “Glory by Honor XI” but Elgin cut him off and stated he had went to ROH officials earlier in the night and finally signed on to get his shot at “Glory by Honor IX” on October 13th in Mississauga! Then Roderick Strong claimed Michael Elgin's title opportunity, the one he earned by winning “Survival of the Fittest 2011”, belonged to him as per Martini's promises. This led to Roderick going on strike from the House of Truth and that he would sit ringside with the fans during Elgin's title match to watch him lose. Truth Martini has not been around for comment but apparently Martini is very anxious to make Roderick happy again. This is a very interesting situation as both Strong and Elgin are scheduled to team up at our next event in Charlotte, NC on September 8th. "GBH XI" tickets are available here in the ROH Store.



- “God’s Gift” QT Marshall was victorious in the 4 Corner Survival last Saturday at “Boiling Point 2012” and has earned an ROH contract. Marshall has officially signed for Ring of Honor's return to Charlotte, NC on September 8th and Baltimore on September 22nd. Congratulations to this gifted athlete.



- “Death Before Dishonor X” in Chicago Ridge on September 15th is our next iPPV and we are pleased to announce more ROH stars who have signed on. “The Notorious 187” Homicide, “No Fear” Mike Mondo, Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander will all be in action. Plus independent stand out ACH will make his ROH debut.

This is a tournament where multiple competitors battle it out in a series of qualifying matches, looking to earn a spot in the 6-Man Elimination Finals, and up for grabs, a future shot at the ROH World Title. This year, for the first time, the tournament will be televised on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV and the first two men to sign on to compete are the ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole and Survival of the Fittest 2011 Winner “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin! - “Death Before Dishonor X” is September 15th from Chicago Ridge, IL and it is officially a State of Emergency! ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette has been throwing many different challengers at ROH World Champion Kevin Steen since May but nobody has been able to beat Steen. Cornette has said that we are currently in a “State of Emergency” and therefore he has made a deal with Truth Martini to have “The Man Beast” Rhino take out Steen on September 15th and win the ROH World Championship! This will be an unbelievable wind up to an excellent card that also includes the semi-finals and finals of the ROH Tag Team Title Tournament. - It was also announced earlier today, that "The American Wolf" Davey Richards will return to ROH for the first time since losing to Kevin Steen at "Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis". ROH officials haven't told us much just that he will be there to address his future in Ring of Honor, a future that does not include the ROH World Title as long as it's held by Steen.

- We are pleased to announce that former ROH Triple Crown Champion Eddie Edwards will participate in the Pro Wrestling NOAH 6th annual NTV Cup Jr. Heavyweight Tag League on September 8th through the 22nd. Edwards will team with Bobby Fish in this year’s tournament and we wish both men luck! Unfortunately Edwards will not be available for any ROH events in the month of September but he will return to ROH on October 6th in Rahway!

- Ring of Honor's debut in Rahway, NJ on October 6th is going to be one to go out of your way to see. ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette has been looking ahead to the rest of ROH's year and is aiming to have title contenders in place as insurance policies just in case Kevin Steen remains the ROH World Champion through his currently scheduled title defenses. Given the limited number of title opportunities left in 2012, Cornette is desperately scouting the ROH locker room looking for qualified individuals who have yet to challenge Steen to step up and prove they deserve an opportunity. We currently have a poll up on our Facebook page asking fans who they want to see challenge Steen and the results are quite interesting and could possibly be something that influences Cornette’s decision.

- Those are the seven men who have been announced thus for “Survival of the Fittest 2012” which takes place on September 22nd in Baltimore at The Du Burns Arena. At stake in the 6-Man Elimination finals will be a future ROH World Title shot, but before they get to that, every man involved in this tournament will have to win a Qualifying Bout. Today ROH officials provided the 7th name entered into the tourney and it is Kyle O’Reilly! O’Reilly joins Homicide, Adam Cole, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, Jay Lethal, “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett, and Roderick Strong to the field of competitors and you can expect participant number 8 to be announced tomorrow at ROHwrestling.com.
