2005 contained many exciting moments for independent wrestling but perhaps none stand out as much as TNA's rise from an indy promotion to arguably the number 2 wrestling promotion in the world by debuting on SpikeTV. With its contract ending with FSN the company continued its promotion for nearly 3 months with downloadable episodes of its impact programming until October when the company began its weekly show on Viacom's Cable network SpikeTV. Their saturday night time slot and monday night rebroadcast enabled TNA to showcase the best independent wrestlers in the country bringing stars such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Rhino, AMW, Sabu, Alex Shelley, Petey Williams and more to homes across the country.
