Matt Taven, who held the Northeast Wrestling championship and recently appeared on ROH TV, is in the process of signing a WWE deal. Taven worked a dark match at the most recent Florida Championship Wrestling TV taping.
Taven was trained by Spike Dudley and ROH's Bob Evans.

wow good for him. i was under the impression that he was gonna do more with ROH so obviously he is in demand. gonna miss him on the ne indy scene.

Good for him. He deserves it. as nothing to see here first pointed out, he is going to be sorely missed on the NE independent scene. I read that he's simply undergoing some testing, along with another name they made an offer to, that being Sara Del Ray. I'm also extremely happy for her.

I just hope these 2 pan out and can learn "sports entertainment." The north east indy scene is just full of talent. Glad to see workers from are still being picked up.

Gotta agree with Chief here. I'm not taking ANYTHING away from Matt Taven here, who is undoubtedly one of the brightest indy stars in the northeast. But there are a lot of others who have a lot of talent and promise, like Brian Fury, Mikaze and let's not forget 2 of my favs Frankie Arion and Dave Cole. I have a few others I'd like to mention but I won't start a feud here because I know many don't share my opinion. But you can't argue with these 4. No way. Congrats to Matt though! Best of luck to him!

I agree with Chief. Those guys he mentioned are very talented and driven. I think New England has an abundance of prime talent. Other parts of the country are not as blessed as were are with the pure amount or quality of wrestlers/promotions that we have. Don't sell these guys short.
